more VStool v2; "Is Mayor McCheese a sentient object, or merely a guy with a cheeseburger for a head?"

Yesterday got the spiffy new tool described in my last update working fully enough that I could do some mass-tagging, so I spent a bunch of time just creating new tags and scrolling down the corpus doing that. Lots of fun conversations about whether some of the more subjective tags applied to a given character, including the question in this post's title. I've never built a big tower of structured data from scratch before and the considerations that go into it are fun and interesting.

Still in the honeymoon period with imgui, it was pretty ridiculously easy to add the new search window and mass-tagging with it.

Tags are a hugely significant addition to VSbot, enough that once I finish it I might try to make something of a partial relaunch out of it. I haven't done any video dev updates on any of my projects in a few years but the whole road to this point from the beginning ~5 years ago has been ludicrous enough that it'll probably be worth doing one.
